Our Swim 62 Story
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mansour found himself leading a sedentary lifestyle.
Determined to overcome his fear of swimming, rooted in a childhood incident, he sought help from his friend Arjuna, also known as Fish.
Despite his military background, Mansour never quite mastered swimming, but he refused to give up. Dreaming of swimming around Abu Dhabi's coastline, he assembled a team of coaches including Andre Santos and Vania Neves, along with Project Manager Katriina Uusitalo.
Together, they trained tirelessly, covering over 900 kilometers. Finally, the day of the event arrived. With his team by his side, Mansour dove into the challenge, swimming an incredible 62 kilometers in 38 hours.
His journey is a reminder that with determination and support, we can overcome even our deepest fears. Mansour's achievement is historic, as he becomes the first Emirati to swim along the coastline of Abu Dhabi, inspiring others to face their challenges head-on.
